Dr. George M. Blount holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree, a Master of Business Administration Management degree, a Bachelor of Science in Management degree, and an Associate of Science in Finance degree.

Prof. Blount has conducted postgraduate research in financial decision-making and the intersectionality of culture, mental health, and financial health for all socioeconomic levels. He is the author of What is Retirement: The Plan, Participants and Concepts of Retirement Plans. 

Prof. Blount has served as an adjunct faculty member, and academic advisor. Prof. Blount has taught classes in Managerial Accounting, Financial Accounting, Behavioral Finance, Personal Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Management & Leadership. Prof. Blount has also developed financial literacy curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
