Dr. Tony R. Lyons, an accomplished higher education and technology executive with experience across multiple disciplines and industries, serves as the Dean of the College of Technology and Engineering.
Prior to joining Westcliff University, Dr. Lyons was Dean of the Colleges of Business and Doctoral Studies and Program Chair for Computer Science and Information Technology at Colorado Technical University (CTU).
Before higher education, Dr. Lyons was an executive management consultant and completed more than 25 years as a corporate information technology executive crossing several industry sectors including financial services, automotive, health care, global manufacturing, and IT service delivery. During his tenure in the private sector, Dr. Lyons held a wide range of leadership positions covering both domestic and international operations, strategically focusing on technology to business alignment, building high performing teams, strategic planning and sourcing, and organizational efficiencies. Areas of research interest include leveraging emerging technologies to enhance business operations and global leadership.
