Westcliff University is thrilled to introduce the ACHIEVE Bridge Program, a transformative initiative designed to help students meet the entry requirements for graduate degree programs in technology and business. Whether you are seeking to increase your GPA, strengthen your academic foundation, acquire related academic credits, or simply need a boost to meet Westcliff University’s entry requirements, ACHIEVE is your gateway to success!

 

Eligible Programs for ACHIEVE’s Bridge Pathway

 

Is ACHIEVE Right For You?

The ACHIEVE Bridge Pathway is specifically designed for you if:

  •   You are new to business or technology, but have undergraduate credits in other fields.
  •   You do not have the required prerequisite credits, but have work experience in the field.
  •   You do not meet the GPA requirements.

Best of all: F1 students are eligible to apply.
Westcliff University welcomes international learners!

How Does the ACHIEVE Bridge Work?

  • Straightforward: Take 4 foundational courses in sequence (2 semesters)
  • Affordable: Under $10K for the Bridge Pathway to any eligible graduate program!
  • Flexible: Evening and weekend classes are available.
  • Personalized: Get extra help with tutoring, advising, and career counseling.
  • Community-Minded: Network with other motivated students and make friends for life.

 

Are You Eligible?

  • GPA
    • 2.0-2.49 or 1.8-1.99 with relevant professional experience
  • No Tech Background Required

 

ACHIEVE Bridge Pathway Credits & Courses

College of Technology & Engineering – MSCS and MSIT Programs

ACHIEVE MSIT & MSCS (both pathways): 6 pre-reqs + 36 credits at master’s level = 42 credits total

These four courses must be taken in sequence over the course of two semesters, and prior to moving on to regular program courses.

  • Discrete Mathematics – 3 credits (ACHIEVE course)
  • Introduction to Python Programming – 3 credits (ACHIEVE course)
  • Data Structures & Algorithms Designs – 3 credits
  • Systems of Programming and JAVA – 3 credits

 

College of Business – MBA Program – Coming Soon!

Two Tracks

Track One: ACHIEVE MBA with Unrelated-Credits: 6 pre-reqs undergrad credits + 36 credits at master’s level = 42 credits total

  • Organizational Leadership – 3 credits
  • *Foundation of Business – 3 credits
  • Marketing Management – 3 credits
  • Organizational Behavior – 3 credits

*First pre-req. course.
These four courses will be taken in sequence over two semesters, and prior to moving into regular program courses. Please note that you will take the second pre-req course immediately following completion of these ACHIEVE courses.

Track Two: ACHIEVE MBA with low-GPA: 36 credits at master’s level. No additional time or tuition. You just take the first four courses in sequence, and receive extra support to ensure your success!

  • Organizational Leadership – 3 credits
  • Strategic Management in a Globalized Economy – 3 credits
  • Marketing Management – 3 credits
  • Organizational Behavior – 3 credits

These four courses must be taken in sequence over the course of two semesters, and prior to moving on to regular program courses.

 

Extra Benefits for ACHIEVE Students

  • Dedicated Support: ACHIEVE students receive expert guidance from experienced instructors and advisors who provide mentorship and support. The program includes comprehensive services like tutoring, academic advising, and career counseling, helping students navigate their journey and overcome challenges.
  • Resources: ACHIEVE students are provided with a range of additional resources. Trained faculty members offer specialized instruction, while peer mentors, the Academic Resource Center (ARC), the Writing Center, and the library provide additional support. WU takes your success seriously: students referred for assistance to these entities are mandated to attend, ensuring they receive the help they need.
  • Ongoing Assessment: Your academic and advising team monitors your progress and addresses academic issues promptly. Students in the ACHIEVE program are also subject to the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy, ensuring they remain on track academically and meet all necessary requirements.
  • Community: By joining ACHIEVE, students become part of a vibrant community of motivated peers. They can network with others who share similar aspirations, engage in collaborative projects, and participate in social activities and networking events, enhancing their academic experience and building lasting connections.
  • Flexibility: The program offers evening and weekend classes to accommodate busy schedules, ensuring students can balance their studies with other commitments and achieve their academic goals.
